And so little energy too.. But a quick update on everything.

First, Steph was thrilled (and quite shocked) on Tuesday night to get a call from the car delivery guy that our car was in Limoges waiting to be picked up. So much for the estimate of at least 2 weeks to get here!! Took 5 days to get here!! WOW! He was thrilled to give up the minivan for his beloved SUV. ;)

Also on Tuesday we did our PDI - Pre-Delivery Inspection - on the house. It definitely passed. The most major issues weren't that serious, and the builders are taking care of it all. The most major issue, is our kitchen counter doesn't fit right (was cut a little wrong), so it will be replaced, probably within the next month or so.. Lots of paint touch ups, a couple of minor electrical issues, missing a shower door (ordered the wrong size), and of course some outdoor issues still have to be finished. I'll touch on that stuff a little later.

Tuesday, Kat started school. And you are probably wondering.. where are the first day of school pictures? Good reason for that. But I'll touch on that later as well. The school that she went to was very nice. A small country French school (public) with no more than 250 students. All the staff we met were extremely nice. The school is well taken care of, and it's pretty close to our new house (no more than 8kms away). We also had Ellie's Kindergarten interview. Teacher seemed very nice, and it seems like a pretty neat system for the kindergarteners. Full days, but every other day is supervised playtime as oppose to true sit in your seat and learn kindergarten. So it was a neat set up.

On Wednesday, we signed a million papers, and got the mortgage for our house. Although we were missing the down payment, and proof of insurance, we still got to sign.

Thursday.. today.. 830am sharp - the truck with all our stuff arrived at the house! Woohoo! :) It was a rough start for the unloaders.. The Embridge truck was sitting in front of the house, with a front end loader digging a trench for the gas line. So we had to wait for them to be done before we could get the truck moved to the driveway so they could unload. And of course, there was a boom lift in front of the garage working on the stocco above our door, so no direct path from truck to house. Plus, the driveway isn't paved, and we haven't gotten our back fill for our front yard, so one miss step, and you are slipping down the side of the gravol driveway. LOL But they managed just fine, and got everything moved in.
And while they were moving the stuff in, Steph and Kat drove back to the city to take care of the downpayment - via two different banks, and take care of the insurance. They missed almost all of the unloading. By the time they got back, they were almost done, and it was past lunch time, so Steph left right away and went to get lunch for the girls, and Tim's for the movers. And when he got back to the house with the stuff, they moved in the last piece. So I got to do the entire Bingo sheet all by myself. Only missed a dozen numbers out of 410 pieces. Not bad considering i had 2 kids under foot for a good portion of the time. ;)

So now, Thursday night, we are back at the hotel for the last night. We had our last hotel supper (until our next vacation). We are about to hit the bath and clean the girls who dug in the pile of sand in our backyard and then hit the sack cause we are all exhausted.

I'll post again tomorrow, with info about the PDI, and school. Hopefully i'll be posting from the house (that would mean the highspeed internet is set up), with alot of boxes unpacked (they are arriving tomorrow at 830am to start unpacking our stuff). :) And then Saturday morning brings a HUGE grocery trip, and maybe a Home Depot trip. Fun! :)
