Both Kat and Ellie went to the dentist Friday morning. It was Ellie's first visit to the dentist, and although she won't admit it, she was very nervous. I sat in with Ellie (with Dani on my lap). Steph sat in with Kat.
First Ellie.. She did great! She didn't talk much, mainly just nodded to the questions. But she opened her mouth when asked, kept it open, spit into the tube, and all that fun stuff. She even did the fluffy flouride. She has perfect teeth.. Not a hint at any weakness in the teeth, no misalignment, just perfect. :)
Now Kat. She is a pro, apparently. Talked up a storm, and did great with all the dentist stuff. No cavities, but her back molars that are just coming through are weaker than the rest, so it's something to keep an eye on. And when they come all the way through, they will check them out and maybe put a sealant on them. She also had a talk with the dentist about the thumb. Of course, just like the rest of us, he was very proud that she has stopped the thumb sucking during the day (yah Kat!). But he made it very clear that if it's time to stop the night time thumb. The "damage" is still very small, and probably reversible at this point. So it's time for the next big step for Kat.
Big Cheers for the No Cavities Club members!!! :)
