September has quickly arrived and with it comes the start of school. We were all looking forward to the start of school. ;) So we spent the couple of weeks before hand getting ready - buying the mountains of supplies, new shoes, new clothes, backpacks, lunchbags. It adds up to alot very quickly. We moved the wake up time the week before, slowly moving to a 7am wake up after 2 months of waking anywhere between 7am and 9am. And finally after a very excited bedtime on Monday, Tuesday morning arrived. The girls flew through the school morning routine like pros, and were ready before the bus was expected to come, and a good 20 minutes before we were planning on leaving. Off we headed. To school.. To begin a first for Kat - her first time since starting school that she is attending the same school for a second year. Being able to walk the halls and know where she is going, sees teachers she knows, has the squealing meet up with friends. We got there a good 10 minutes before the buses arrived, so it was still pretty quiet in the school. We went to the grade 1 area first and found Ellie's class. She has Mrs Moffat - one of the teachers that Kat did not have last year - for English. And for French, she has Mme Lynn, who was Kat's gr 1 French teacher. She was very happy to see a few of her friends in her english class, including her best friend. And there were a few of her friends in the French class as well. Then off to find Kat's class room. She has Mrs. Macdonald for both English and French. So with the same teacher for the entire day. Not sure if that will be a good thing or a bad thing, but we will find out soon enough. Her french class is a 1/2 split class. Again, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but we will find out soon enough. We got Kat settled, and soon enough she was shooing us out of the classroom. Next year, we might be dropping her off in the general area and won't be allowed in her classroom. The only one that was upset was Dany. She wanted to stay at school with her sisters. But a stop at Timmy's for a donut on the way home cheered her up. After a very quiet day at home, we headed to the school to pick them up. Got 2 very good reviews from two quite tired little girls.

And here are the girls on the first day of school 2009 :
