This past week was spring break for the girls. And to make it a little more fun, Steph took the week off as well, so a family week. To start the week, Steph headed up North, and the girls headed to my parents which left me at home alone. Steph got to visit with his family, the girls went to see "New Clothes for the Empress" and went to Fulton's Sugar Bush.
On Tuesday, we celebrated St. Patrick's day. I think there is Irish somewhere in our family. We started the day with Green Pancakes - Yum. ;) And had our first BBQ of the season and green potatoes for supper. :)
Wednesday we had a quiet day inside because both Kat and Ellie came down with colds. It was suppose to be our field trip day, but we postponed it because we didnt think they could do it. So instead we stayed at home and had an arts and crafts day. We made ceramic mermaids that the girls got to paint, and we played with the Lite Brite Flash Art toy that they got for Christmas.
Thursday was a trip to the city for shopping and a dentist appt.
Friday, was our big field trip. We headed the 1.5 hours to Montreal. Our first stop was the Bio-dome. WOW! It certainly made Dany's day - seeing real live monkeys! To say that the monkeys were Dany's favourite part is an understatement. Kat and Ellie enjoyed all of it, and when asked to pick out a favourite they either can't or change their minds every few minutes. After a few hours of walking through there, we made a quick stop at the Christie cookie outlet, and then headed to the Botanical garden to see their butterfly display. Beautiful!

And so now, we are on our weekend before school starts. We are having a pizza and movie night tonight, and then tomorrow it's catch up before school starts again. It was a great March break - our best yet. And now the countdown is on for Easter. :)
