Day 12 - heading home

Last morning of vacation.  *sigh*   Mixed opinions this morning.  I think everyone is a little happy to be heading home (miss our beds, home cooked food, our animals, etc), but I don't think any of us really want to end vacation knowing how long it will be til our next one.

Our decision to upgrade the room was definitely well worth it.  Everyone slept really well, even myself who hasn't slept more than a couple of hours at a time all vacation - i think I got a 4 hour stretch, so it was really great.   Since our drive was shorter today, we decided we didn't need to head out right away.  So we took another round in the pool.  :)
Packed up the car and we, for the last time, left our hotel.  Told the girls we were stopping a mall for breakfast.  Little did they know what kind of mall we were going to.  We took them to Les Galeries de la Capitale, which from the outside looks like any old mall, especially when we enter through Zellers.  But as we are touring around looking for the food court, we ended up in Méga Parc with it's rollercoaster, bumper cars, train, merry-go-round, and other various rides / games.  Eyes went huge, jaws dropped, and we had three very excited girls.   We went back to the food court first, had some Tim's, and then took the girls back to the Méga Parc.  First the bumper cars, then the merry-go-round, then all onto the train.  Lots of fun.   The girls really want to go back there, so we might go back for March break one year.  With sad faces, we left the mall, and got back into the car for the final leg of the trip.  Pretty uneventful trip back - traffic moved well, weather was nice, and soon we were in familiar territory.

And after a wonderful vacation, we are home.  Memories to last a lifetime, and we cannot wait until next year.
